Lee District Basketball Association (LDBA) has been serving the Lee District Community for over 45 years. Our purpose has not changed much within those years.
|LDBA is established to provide the youth of the Lee District community and surrounding areas, a basketball program that insures a balance blend of sportsmanship, recreation, skills development, and competitive activity. The objective of the LDBA Official Playing rules is to enable players to compete in the game of basketball and win or lose on their own efforts.
LDBA offers a House Recreational, County Select, Young Men's Competitive, and Lit'l Ballers programs..
House program age groups are based on the results of the annual registration and shall form playing divisions. General layout includes, but is not limited to: Boys 7/8, 9/10, 11/12, 13/15 & Girls Ages 7/9, 10/11, 12/15. At the discretion of the President, Vice President, Secretary, & House Directors, the pre-season age groupings may be modified. LDBA as been a co-ed league for the last 8 years, and plans on remaining a co-ed league.
LDBA offers the community House Recreational league play with a Fall, Winter and Spring season. LDBA's County Select program supports Winter and Summer seasons. Please visit the Select Section of the website for additional information regarding Select opportunities. Our spring season has it's own section on the top menu bar. Please be sure to review this. Online registration will begin in February.
LDBA attempts to offer a girls program, but if participation numbers do not support an independent in-house girls program, LDBA will be looking to play other youth organizations, or the younger divisions will becoming co-ed as we have successfully done in the Fall and Spring Seasons. LDBA always hopes to offer a separate Girls House Program and we need community support.
The 7/8 year old division plays a 10 game season, all on weekends. The 9/10 through 13/14 divisions play a 10-12 (depending on resource and gym use permit) game season with a single elimination tournament at the end. This layout maximizes your child's and your basketball experience. The 15/18 division is targeted for a 10 games season, and the Little Baller's program is targeted with 7 sessions.
LDBA also holds All-Star Games during the Winter Season along with player and coach 3-point and foul shooting contests. During the Fall Season we have a closeout/kick-off for our Winter Season with music, DJ, and door prizes. These activities and family time are all at no additional costs to our community and participates. Just more ways to contribute to the success, and fun of our program.
